Gibran Malik a.k.a 'Sage" was born in raised in Hollis Queens NY, the home of RUN DMC, LL Cool J, 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj. His passion for music led him to become a certified audio engineer in 2003. He’s worked with thousands of music artists over the years. From superstars like Dj Khaled and Wyclef Jean to upcoming local artists in his hometown of NYC.
Over the past 20 years he also helped indie artists find collaborations and resources to create their projects.
In 2016 Gibran had a vision of an idea for a digital application that would do this job for them. That app would be called
“Artist Connect”.
Gibran had to downsize and live out of his recording studio for 3 years in order to bootstrap the funds needed to build this
platform. He plans to revolutionize the indie music industry by empowering artists with a virtual manager that they can use to turn their talent into a successful thriving business.
